When most people think about trains in India, they imagine ageing coaches, overcrowded carriages, and passengers hanging out of open doors as the train races through the countryside. But Indian Railways is changing rapidly. Tonight, I’m boarding the brand new Vande Bharat Express Sleeper train for a 959km overnight journey from Assam down to Kolkata, travelling in First Class onboard India’s newest and most modern sleeper service. This train only entered service two weeks before filming, and there has already been enormous hype surrounding its launch across India.

Poland has rapidly become one of Europe’s most exciting countries for rail travel, with modern high-speed routes, impressive station redevelopments, and growing competition between operators. Today, I travelled aboard RegioJet’s premium intercity service from Warsaw to Kraków, a route that should have represented the future of affordable private rail competition in Central Europe. However, just days after this journey was filmed, RegioJet announced it would cease operations in Poland after only eight months of service.

Nestled among volcanic mountains, dense forests, and breath-taking valleys, Japan’s Hakone region offers one of the country’s most spectacular rail journeys. Today, I travelled aboard the legendary Hakone Tozan Railway - Japan’s steepest conventional railway - before continuing by funicular and cable car towards stunning viewpoints of the iconic Mount Fuji. From high-speed Shinkansen trains to mountain switchbacks and volcanic landscapes, this journey perfectly showcases why Japan remains one of the greatest countries in the world for rail travel.

78 as of December 2024 - but I have 8 more planned for 2025 so far!
I'd have to say China - with over 75% of all the world's high-speed tracks and amazing 350km/h trains. Honourable mention to Japan and Switzerland also for their impeccable reliability and timeliness.
Honestly, I've been very lucky. I have never had any major issues except delays, and the longest one of those was around 4 hours on a Turkish international sleeper train. No crashes, robberies, or anything like that.
Indonesia! The railways on Java are excellent and they have some amazing luxury services too. Check out my videos!
Usually, I search booking websites, such as Baolau, Omio, and Trip.com to compare prices and check timetables, depending on the area. It's always worth checking directly on the operator's website too!
Simple, that's where it all started. I pretty much only travelled and made content within Europe in the first 2 years - and the name just stuck. As others will tell you, when you get to a certain size, a rebrand is very difficult and can be detrimental to SEO and GEO.
Well, I do already! I frequently make ferry, bus and tram content, but planes, less so. And as trains are of the most interest to me, and they perform much better, especially with my audience on YouTube, that is where I focus my main efforts.
This website was something I'd been wanting to do for a while now to complement my YouTube and other social media. And I'm super happy with how it's come together. But next, well I plan to calm down a bit on 'Full Time' travel after 2025, improve my video edits, and build the brand even more. If there's anything you think I should be doing, then drop me a message!
